Opening ceremonies were held at the
Kennedy Center for the Arts on June
9th, My thanks to the Kansas City
Chapter of VSA , Accessible Arts, for
encouraging me to participate and
allowing me to have the opportunity
to meet artists from all over the world.
Ben Vereen is also a entertainer
who spent time in a wheelchair. His
performance was wonderful in the
opening ceremonies.
Smiling and enjoying the Kennedy
center on Opening night .
Union Station was one of the many
sites the art work was displayed in
Washington,D.C. My photography was
in the main corridor surrounding by
many other artists beautiful work.
"Vern" was a screenplay I wrote
concerning my Grandfather and his life
in the military and at home in
Waldo,Kansas. It was presented by
Martin English in Club Soda for me on
the 11th in the Hilton,Washington, D.C.
The Metro got us around
safely and quickly. The
Washington D.C. area was
exceptionally beautiful and
clean . The hustle and
bustle of the large city was
quite a change. My thanks
to the taxi driver for not
getting any more agitated
on the trip to airport than
he did. (For a moment we
were living "Taxi". )

The fountain to the right
was outside Union Station.
such  a well executed and planned
event. I was thrilled to displayed my
work in D.C., and learned much in the
seminars.
